JOB: {Job 19:6-13}

Job has  not taken seriously the possibility that Satan is real and active in human affairs; he does not mention the Adversary once, either directly or indirectly. Other faithful men and women down through the ages have made the same mistake of disregarding the activity of Satan, and this has complicated their efforts to interpret what was taking place in their lives and in the world.

The opposite error is also to be guarded against, which is making Satan seem so powerful that one falls into a form of dualism with good and bad gods of almost equal power. The Adversary depicted in the inspired word of God is a created being of limited power. More
