PROVIDENCE OF GOD

The words, "I know", "we know", were favorites of the Apostle Paul, [and they are mine, also]. Speaking of his salvation and assured interest in Christ he said, "....I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed unto Him that day" [2 Tim.1:12].

We are to believe that the whole aggregate of saved person's life is working towards a predestined end and that the end is good.

Through the ancient prophet God said concerning His people, "I will bring the blind by a way that they know not; I will lead them in paths they have not known; I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things I will do unto them, and not FORSAKE THEM [Is. 42:16].

It is very well may be that the very thing you are now complaining about, God has sent your way to bring your greatest good. He knows more about your needs that you do. Maybe in this life you will understand and maybe not. Anyway, recognize that behind it all is the perfect plan and benign providential care of a loving heavenly Father. Be as the Psalmist who said,

"I DUMB: I OPENED NOT MY MOUTH, BECAUSE THOU DIDST IT" [Ps. 39:9].

and

"Surely every man is vanity. Without God, life is vain; and the living of life is a vain display of futility"  [Ps. 39:11].

More on the Providence of God:

Gen. 50:15-21

While the evil of men may appear to be to the disadvange of the Saints, the purpose and plans of God will ultimately prevail....Note: This is one of the clearest declarations of divine providence anywhere in the Bible.

Through His providence God controls the universe {Ps. 103:19}; the physical world {Matt.5:45}; the affairs of nations {Ps. 66:7}; human birth and destiny {Gal. 1:15}. Without His continual care and activity the world would not exist.
